About IGN's score
I think I'm sure of the scoring range for the Conduit. Matt from IGN has played through the whole single player campaign and here is what he said.
Lack of variety of enemies, but they present them in a way that it doesn't feel that way.
Repetitive environments
Cool and fun weapons
nice controls
"They really have something here"
Nice graphics
However, he hasn't played multiplayer yet and is going to face of against Sega and HVS in about 3 days I think.
From his single player experience I deduce 8.3-8.7, but after he plays online, I think new range will be from 8.5-9.2
My guess, 8.8.

9.4? That was the score for Killzone 2 and Call of Duty 4. I think thats a bit of a stretch.

The main reason why I predicted such a score is because The Conduit is my most anticapated Wii title as of now. And beside, if this is the FPS shooter that Wii owners been begging for, a high score like that could be it.

I sure hope so, a high score from IGN would seal the deal on a good game.

Re: About IGN's score
I agree with everyone here. CoD:WaW for the Wii got an 8, I think. And the controls were clunky and inconsistent (although the online could be a blast).
I predict The Conduit receives above a mid-level 8 (8.5), but no higher than a very low 9 (9.1-9.2).
I think the AI and inconsistent environments will be the biggest gripes from the way he sounded on the podcast.

Don't they only give Editor's choice for special circumstances, oh wait it's the Conduit.
Full of win.

This game deserve Editor's Choice from IGN. It's a game that could save the hardcore base.

Nope not done yet. At least I don't think so. I remember reading about new bump mapping techniques they could use to make the Grinder look much better than TC.

Re: About IGN's score
Considering how many crappy mainstream games there are, Brawl, Zelda, Metroid, etc make up 1%.
So yes, better than 99% of all other games

Metacritics score wise, between 95%-98%. Close. Wow, that game will be one of the Wii's best game, if the score is between 84-89 for Metacritics.
