This discussion is all about Mario Kart Wii and everything related to it.

Mario Kart Wii was good, but Double Dash was much better. They should have kept the co-op aspect of it. Nothing beats a 2 on 2 in a Grand Prix in Double Dash, just way too fun.

I hate Mario Kart Wii with a passion compared to double dash and older. The items sucked, especially the lightning cloud which had obtain rate higher than most items. The second thing I didn't like about it was the hit priority. In double dash, if you get hit by a red shell or something, you flip forward and reduce speed significantly. But in Mario Kart Wii, if you get hit by a red shell you completely stop for 2 seconds, which can easily allow loads up people to pass you at once.

Double Dash had strategy, using characters and their very own special items, and planning which order to use those items. Also seeing which characters and car combos fit you best, it took me a lot of time to find the right combination for me.

In conclusion, the past Mario Kart games were amazing and revolutionary for their time. Mario Kart Wii is definitely a downgrade from from the originals

MKW is a fun game, especially over Nintendo WFC (except for the hackers). I do have to say though, I'm not fond of the Thunder Cloud item. Rather stupid IMO. Mario Kart 64 will always be the best Mario Kart game there is, but MKW does deliver. It is one of the few Wii game I haven't gotten tired of, if not the only other one along with Brawl and soon to be The Conduit.

I agree, it's a very good game. However, the items are cheap and the main issue I have with the game.

Why Double Dash is the best.

-more strategy because you can potentially have up to 3 items going on at once

-special item's specific to players

-it seemed way faster and frantic

-baby park

-co-op (co-op drifting is priceless)

-able to punch and steal items

-cool battle modes with smaller maps, unlike the freaking universe-size maps in MKW

Couldn't agree more

MK:DD is good, but MK 64 is a classic, and takes the most skill out of all Mario Kart games. I'm sure ZMT would agree

Well i got it yesterday and the wheel thing confused me so i switched to GC controllers.

What i can say about it is, i'll like it more than DD 'cause:

- the variety of tracks, they copy the DS and updated some old tracks which is awesome.
- Online play
- You can play with any controller for wii.
- Better drift system (no snaking)

The kart system in DD was nice but everyone mostly grabs small racers. Mario Bros. Special sucked,

That's what i think so far, the only reason why i like DD is baby park

Baby Park is too good.

MKW was okay, it got boring after I beat all grand cups.
