Wii Speak Question

I'm a bit confused. From IGN I'm quoting:

"Wii speak compatible
Will only hear at maximum the closet 6 players to drown out all others players talking. This Does not apply to Team Matches. In team matches you may only talk to your teammates, not enemies.
HVS has said it will be friends only for voice communication"

It said friends only but above it said

"Will only hear at maximum the closet 6 players to drown out all others players talking. This Does not apply to Team Matches. In team matches you may only talk to your teammates, not enemies."

Can anybody help me out?

Basically in free for all, 6 closest players, in team matches, your teammates.
